Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with effective interpersonal abilities, are paramount. Bicycle & Pedestrian / Transportation Planner



Multi-modal transportation planning with a focus on bicycle and pedestrian planning. Multidisciplinary position requires a highly organized candidate capable of contributing to planning and design of multi-modal transportation projects throughout North Carolina. Successful candidate will have experience in the preparation of current bicycle and pedestrian practice and design solutions, public involvement, web-based outreach technologies, corridor feasibility analysis, GIS analysis and mapping and agency coordination. Experience with local, NCDOT, state, and federal regulations and standards for design in urban, rural and environmentally sensitive areas desired. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, team player mentality and commitment to producing high quality consulting products.

Desired skill set:



§ Minimum bachelor’s degree in planning, engineering or related field

§ 3-5 years experience

§ Bicycle and pedestrian planning

§ NCDOT experience desired
