    Happy Birthday Veloise

    Happy Birthday Veloise !

    Enjoy Your Day !
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
    From Electric Horseman (1979)

    happy b-day!
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Have a super birthday -- and make it a long weekend to boot!

    Happy Birthday!!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

That means much, coming from the master himself!

Just last week the PHB was telling me that the computerized on-line time sheet tracking is incorrect, and his personal tracker (where we minions submitted requested days off) is more accurate. Corp says I have about ten days (vacation and personal holiday) before the end of the year. PHB says no, only 5. What happens next week will be the RJ-ness of RJ-ing.

And my big self-gift this year is new kitchen cabs. Before and after are being documented, and will share.

    Happy day, babe!!!
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

The ends can justify the means.

It has been! Nice relaxing day away from the o(ri)fice.

Highlight: found a used 12' aluminum extension ladder on Craigslist, in Muskegon. Met a lovely fellow selling it (along with his high-priced condo home overlooking the water on Lakeshore Dr). "You don't look 50," he said. That's cuz I'm 51!

I've already used the ladder to attach two of the needed shingle hookie deal things to hang my snowflake lights...photos later!

Swung by a fabric store, visited Uncle Fred's retail establishment, rode my bike DT (cycling makes it a wonderful birthday, but the White Pine Trail gets a lot longer after October).

My license tab renewal forms are on my desk out in the Twp. Guess I get to do that tomorrow, before driving to Cleveland for a pointy-haired boss fest.

Thanks all for the fun comments!
