The Cyburbia Forums is the oldest and most active English language urban planning message board on the Internet, and one of the small number of online communities where members enjoy intelligent, troll-free discussion. Cyburbia has hundreds of active members, yet is a strong community full of creative, friendly, and occasionally offbeat planners, planning students, architects, urbanists and other like-minded people who care about and/or help shape the built environment. Cyburbia Forums members enjoy a sense of community and camaraderie that is unmatched by any planning-related web site or listserv. We'd love to have you join us as another Cyburbian.

Gift for a graduating intern

My intern just graduated with her MSP and I am stuck for ideas for a gift. She has been an outstanding intern, one of the best I have ever had. Any ideas for gifts?

When I graduated and subsequently completed my internship my bosses gave me a nice leather legal pad holder, a leather organizer and a metal business card holder.

A copy of a planning-related book that you have found particularly useful over your career would be nice. If you have a sense of her personal style, I have seen some really cute business card holders that are convenient for a young woman to carry in her purse. Something like this along with an offer to serve as a reference would be greatly appreciated!

This is my business card holder. I think it's fitting for a preservation planner :

A job would be best, or some contact to where a job can be found.
If you're going for the business card holder, and they're proud alumni of the college, most have a nice card holder and pen set with the college name.
