The Cyburbia Forums is the oldest and most active English language urban planning message board on the Internet, and one of the small number of online communities where members enjoy intelligent, troll-free discussion. Cyburbia has hundreds of active members, yet is a strong community full of creative, friendly, and occasionally offbeat planners, planning students, architects, urbanists and other like-minded people who care about and/or help shape the built environment. Cyburbia Forums members enjoy a sense of community and camaraderie that is unmatched by any planning-related web site or listserv. We'd love to have you join us as another Cyburbian.

Sustainable development district

In my fair Town, we have a very large PUD that would like to become a "Sustainable Development District" They have submitted an amendment to our Unified Development Ordinance and a PUD Plan. They are asking for the Town to waive many of its development fees to in order to encourage 'green' development methods, buildings and energy systems. Its in the very beginning stages and I while reviewing it I have had a little trouble finding anything comparable in our region. Any Cyburbians out there know of anything like this out therethat is in the review stage or approved? Its a very exciting project, but I want to give it a fair review without giving away the farm for my Town. Thanks in advance!
