DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT: The Wilson (NC) Housing Authority (WHA), located 40 minutes east of Raleigh is seeking a high energy, team oriented and dedicated professional for the position of Director of Development. This re-advertised position has been designed to explore and implement development/redevelopment ventures to increase the amount of affordable housing in Wilson and modernize its Public Housing stock. The Director of Development will be responsible for performing complex professional and administrative work including planning, organizing and directing the Authority’s redevelopment and capital improvement activities. Candidate should have extensive working knowledge of urban planning, public administration, real estate development, public housing capital funds and design/construction management. Ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years or more of progressive work experience in aforementioned disciplines in addition to possessing an appropriate degree.
