Have a bit of a baby face and my facial hair comes in pretty thin... Still, I frequently go days and weeks without shaving out of sheer bordem, and because I hate shaving. I'm not sure if it looks good or professional and I could care less. In fact, I think I'll go on a shaving hiatus right now

I've worn some form of facial hair most of my adult life. For many years now, it has been a goatee that I have watched go from dark brown to salt-and-pepper to just about all grayish white. I shaved it off when my son was six or seven months old and his reaction was stunning: he acted as if he did NOT know me. I immediately set to growing it back and haven't shaved it since.

I keep it neatly trimmed above the lip and let the rest grow a little longer in the colder months, but otherwise keep it trimmed short during the summer heat and humidity.

Yeah....

I have a goat beard too....I've had it for about 10 years now.... I've grown full beards twice and they were ok, but now I'm getting more and more salt and pepper Maybe I should dye my hair blond....and start smoking a pipe and wearing tweed jackets

Brocktoon with a full beard?? But it looks like I'll miss it

Goatee since 1991...with a couple of inadvertent trimming mishaps that forced me to shave it off 3 times.

Plus, I always thought it was a prerequisite for Planning Directors (male) to have beards.

The ex husband is clean shaven - he's a firefighter and has to for his scba.

The few guys I've dated since then have all been bald with goatees. Apparently I kind of like that look

Maybe I should introduce you to my brother then! I'm trying to convince him to divorce his bitch-of-a-wife after she kicked him out of the house!

My next vacation I might grow a nice beard. Beard growing is one of my few talents.

I've had facial hair nearly constantly since college. A big, bushy half-goatee was the first beard, that translated into a poorly maintained beard, then back to the half-goatee, then since moving to AZ, I've been sporting a properly trimmed, dense full beard. The wife loves it, my daughters love it and I can probably never shave it off again.

At one point, every guy planner in the office sported some facial hair last fall. 3 beards and 3 goatees. Now we're down to 1 goatee and 2 beards.

I've also sported facial shrubbery most of my adult life, including as much as allowed by the military. Had the same reaction from my youngest son when I shaved off my beard. Also from the current & last Mrs. ofos when I removed it for a job interview since she had never seen me without it. Got the job, regrew the beard, kept the wife.

My wife like my appearance with facial hair more than without, so I'll be keeping it. When we first met, I was clean shaven, so looks like growing it out was a good idea.

insulation

After completing my first winter mountain ascent on Saturday with our son (10), I can now comfortable vouch for the insulating value of a full beard on a mountain top in 5 degree F weather.

Your 10 year-old son has a full beard? You must be very proud.

Well, that was a short-lived experiment...
