    But I'm Gonna Miss Metrosexual...

    Dustbin bound?

The 2004 list of words and phrases that should be banned, according to Lake Superior State University:

    — Metrosexual: An urban male who pays a great deal of attention to appearance.
    — X: As in “X-Files,” Xtreme, Windows XP and X-Box.
    — Punked: To dupe, popularized by the MTV show “Punk’d.”
    — Place Stamp Here: Printed on return envelopes.
    — Companion animals: Also known as pets.
    — Bling or Bling-Bling: Flashy jewelry.
    — LOL: E-mail speak for “laugh out loud.”
    — Embedded Journalist.
    — Smoking Gun.
    — Shock and Awe.
    — Captured Alive.
    — Shots Rang Out.
    — Ripped From the Headlines.
    — Sweat Like a Pig: The problem is pigs don’t sweat.
    — In Harm’s Way.
    — Hand-Crafted Latte.
    — Sanitary Landfill: Also known as a dump.

Does the Throbbing Brain need to add anything else?

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

"Timeless beauty." especially when used to describe anything produced by the Franklin Mint or advertised in the Parade Magazine.

    RE: this years list.
What's wrong with "Shots rang out" and "Sweat like a pig"

I think metrosexual really does fulfill a need as a word. No other word means exactly the same thing. Playboy, pampered, glamour-boy, stylish, sissy etc. all have different connotations than metrosexual which implies a more stylish and confident androgyny.

Any metrosexuals care to chime in? We'll wait for your nails to dry.
