New York, New York....only Steinberg could depict its hard edges and gritiness as well as this...thanks and it makes me lament for all of those old New Yorker 'zines I had to part with between moves....

Those are simply amazing. The later drawings in particular (well, they ALL do really)look and feel quite.....lysergic :-S . Steinberg is a first rate artist in my book.... wow.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor
