Who's been? Who's been wanting to go and has a list of things they want to see?
I'm not going until May, but I think it's going to be a lot of work to narrow down our list of things we really want to do. Me and one of my best gal pals sill be flying in and out of Dublin. Counting the day we arrive (we'll get in late morning), we'll have seven full days and will fly back on the eighth day. We do not want to stay in a different place every night. We are willing to stop while driving through cities. Right now we are planning to leave Dublin right away and make our way to the farthest point out and then slowly make our way back to Dublin to spend our last day or two there before heading back out.
A lot of the websites are saying the same things - Galway, hit the Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry, Skellig Michael (if the weather cooperates), hike in a few of the national parks, visiting castles and monasteries. And I do want to do all those things! But we also want to experience non-touristy Ireland and enjoy some of the smaller areas.
Since we'll only be there for a week total, we'll need to stick to either the northern or southern sites. I'm leaning more towards the southern right now. But I'm open to hearing other opinions! What would you do if you were us?
