    Repeatedly striking the expired equine thread

    You know, we never shoulda gone into Viet Nam. Sure, we said it was all in the name of containing communism, but the Vietnamese themselves perceived the conflict as a war for independence, not an ideological struggle.....
    People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. I saw this just yesterday on another message board: in Canada, the media will never, ever shut up about ...

    * Expo '67
    * 1976 Montreal Olympics, and its related financial woes
    * The 1972 Summit Series
    * Polytechnique murders
    * Cod fishing moratorium
    * Quebec independence referendum
    * Terry Fox

    Meanwhile, a few years ago on Cyburbia ...

    You know, we never should have gone into production with the Edsel. Sure, we said the look was truly revolutionary, but the public itself perceived the vehicles as an assault on their senses, and not revolutionary at all.

    Let's see: gun control, government spending, the role of government, state's rights, pollution, the 10th amendment to the Constitution, flat or consumption based taxes.

    You planners are part of a UN One World Government conspiracy to implement Agenda21.

    "Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

    Why did Bill Clinton not step down before impeachment proceedings began?! How could he drag the country through that whole horrible tawdry scandal?! Has he no shame?! This event marks the end of outrage!

    You guys should really read about what I call "urban sprawl." Cities everywhere are spreading out into the countryside gobbling up farmland and forests like a cancer.

    Look it up.
