We did some quick and dirty research of our own for some travel demand forecasting work we're doing. We came up with the following (sorry, you'll have to convert to imperial):
Office/Professional: 1/25m2
Manufacturing/Trade: 1/43m2
Retail: 1/116m2
From the 1999 BOCA code -
Allowances for Maximum floor area per occupant -
Business - 100 gross
That is by code whats allowable, reality of coures will differ, but it might be a good start
