    Walmart research?

I'm new. Trying to find actual research that has been done on the effect of Walmarts on residential property values. Can someone please help? Thanks. Steve

I doubt you'll find anything significant that is focused on Wal-Mart. Perhaps you need to be looking at big box in general.

I strongly suspect there is a spurious relationship, nothing you'll tie consistently from one community to the next due to broad differences in development standards and design practives.

Wal-mart will typically locate new stores in fringe areas experiencing development. This development would have the efferct of raising property values. I would be immediately suspect of any research that did not control for this. Like Chet says, I doubt you will find much specific to Wal-mart.
