    Hey Cardinal

Too bad you are moving, I have found the solution for the starling problem.

Get a pair of these to nest near by

Now that they are feeding young and very territorial, they are running the starlings off. Not to mention the number of mice and snakes they bring home each day.

That would work, but they might also dine on some of the desirable birds. I have occassionally seen kestrels on the telephone wires south of the house, where they can view the open field. The owls are more likely to come into my heavily forested yard, as proven by a couple unfortunate deaths over the past year.

I saw a western tananger at a house I was looking at Saturday. I may buy it.
Anyone want to adopt a dog?

I was very surprised when the kestrels showed up and took up residence at my place in town. I suppose the lack of tree cavities out here on the prairie have a lot to do with it. I have at least five screech owls as well. I don't forsee a mouse problem at my place.
