(EDIT: Or maybe she can wear the tux and all the guys can be photoshopped into bridal gowns, a la the E-bay guy who was selling his ex-wife's wedding gown. That would be even funnier.

Before I am stoned, let me say that I have enjoyed my time in Cyburbia and I will miss everyone after I am run out of town. :-P )

Well, Cardinal picked JNL up from the Air Port on Wed night, and her and Cardinal stopped by for a few hours to visit Master and I, before getting her luggage and driving the rest of the way. So, I don't think that they got to see much if any of K-zoo. JNL will just have to come back at some point to visit.

You had Cardinal and Maister in the same room, and you didn't even have a dueling duck death match?
A guy once told me, "Do not have any attachments, do not have anything in your life you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you spot the heat around the corner."

They are already in TO, arrived last night realtively late. Doing site seeing part 1 today and part 2 is tomorrow.

I'll be seeing them in about 3 hours. I won't be showing them any maps though, only the bottom of beer bottles.

What a great way to look at the world.
The closest I can come to that is through a Diet IBC Root Beer.

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.

I am sure the "shoppers" would be happy to oblige if you are willing to provide one.

Glad to hear you have left the "Island of Lost Luggage". And that you are currently tooling about with fellow Cyburbians. Don't forget to keep a log/notches on your belt of all the Cybs you meet. I only know 4. Guess I need to travel more!

I just got in teh door from dropping JNL off at Pearson International Airport, her plane is probably taxiing and getting ready for take off as I type.

The weekend was a huge success, special thanks to Tranplanner and the Mrs. for having us all stay at their place.

As for the alefest, I did my part and drank 9 that I'd never had before.

As for site seeing, i don't have the digital images, but we did make sure she saw a walmart, a tim hortons and the other important things in Toronto.

I'll upload mine later. My digital camera seemed to wash out any image in the Kensington Market area, but everything outside of that neighborhood turned out well. A preview. That's Cardinal hiding behind the pole.

Part two, Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture her Planderella imitation a minute or two before.

It was a real treat to meet JNL, Tranplanner, Mrs. Tranplanner, Donk, Dan, Michaelskis, Maister, and the duck these last few days. They are all great people, as you would expect from Cyburbia. I'll be posting some photos when I get home tonight.

    I did!

I'll post more pics later - I think they deserve a separate thread. It was great to meet everyone, Mrs. Tranplanner and I had a blast this past weekend!

Tranplanner what sort of pub did you take her to? I am very concerned about the pictures on the wall behind JNL's head. The corruption has begun.

    Rem -
JNL was enlightened by being taken to a Tim Horton's.

Begun? I'd say it was pretty much complete before she even showed up on my doorstep

The painting behind our weary traveller is a take-off of an old master (forget which one). A naked man and woman are having a glass of Stella Artois together. They had postcards of this - JNL took one...not sure if that's the one she sent to her parents

Beer, pictures of naked folk, beer, postcards of naked folk, beer. So that is what a Laefest is all about. No wonder people go to extraordinary lengths to attend.

I got an email from JNL this morning. She seems to have been warmly received by Cyburbanites on both sides of the border. She is also over the sniffles she had in Toronto and is loving London.

Er, shouldn't that say "extraordinary distances"?
