After Years of Visting---Finally Signing On

After having spent years using the resource directory, and occasionally browsing the forums for ideas and information, I have finally decided to sign on. Currently I am a town planner on Cape Cod, hence the moniker. Have spent too many years to count in Massachusetts and before that in NH. I bring both the professional planner background as well as that of a past citizen planner (vice chair in Newmarket NH a lifetime ago and chair on the Cape a few years ago).

Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.

    Welcome.

So, if I had time to visit just one of your local islands, which would you suggest (kids/shopping for wife/walking tour for me):

    Cuttyhunk
    Martha's Vineyard
    Nantucket

Welcome from the landlocked center of our great country.
SOME say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
    Is also great
    And would suffice.

Welcome. No need to lurk. You can be seen in public here without shame. Some of us are even respectable citizens
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor
