    2005 Atlantic Tropical Cyclones Names

The 2005 Atlantic hurricane season officially begins June 1, 2005.
Here are the names for this year’s Atlantic tropical cyclones:

Arlene, Bret, Cindy, Dennis, Emily, Franklin, Gert, Harvey, Irene, Jose, Katrina, Lee, Maria, Nate, Ophelia, Philippe, Rita, Stan, Tammy, Vince, Wilma
    from http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/aboutnames.shtml

For Retired Names, go to http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/retirednames.shtml

I know that Dennis and Irene had been used before.

    Hmmm....

I wonder if Hurricane Wilma will bring warm cookies and milk
Hurricane Katrina could be snooty and stick around a long time
Hurricane Vince and Bret will be JERKS
Hurricane Cindy will be somewhat pleasant and not much of a bother
Hurricane Emily will be powerful, yet classy and skip populated areas
Hurricane Lee will hit Lee County (not really....I hope)
TS/TW Franklin, Harvey, Gert, Rita, Stan and Tammy won't go anywhere
Hurricane Philippe will try to hit France

My predictions based on the names
“The way of acquiescence leads to moral and spiritual suicide. The way of violence leads to bitterness in the survivors and brutality in the destroyers. But, the way of non-violence leads to redemption and the creation of the beloved community.”

I hate it when my name shows up on that list.

Just hope my house doesn't get whacked by another tree from a storm with my name!

If there was a Hurricane El Guapo, would it start with an "e" or a "g"?

I hereby proclaim, that from this point forward, the first storm of the season shall be referred to as Hurricane Adulteress. I’m firing off a letter to NHC tomorrow morning.
    Annoyingly insensitive
