    Cycle tour of Edam, Holland

This was one of my favourite things on the tour - we stopped at a little Dutch town called Edam and hired bicycles for a cycle tour of the very cute little town. We also went to a cheese factory and saw clogs being made. Did you know Edam is the only kind of cheese that's made backwards? Ha ha.. get it?

    Stopping for a break

    Looking along a canal

A windmill (can someone rotate the pic for me? I managed to rotate the thumbnail but not the image!)

    Some of the tour group

    Across from the hire place

A stop for photos of the windmill

Back at the hire place. Like the name? Bike-A-Dijk

It was fun Especially after a day of sitting in an air-conditioned bus!

The bikes were well maintained. They are owned by the lady in the left of the second to last photo (with her back to the camera). She was a real character! She wears a microphone and tells you about the history of the town at stops along the way. That's all she does all day, is take groups out on cycle tours, and tend to her um, pot plants
