Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

In just a few days, I get to go back to work over the holiday break to help plan my city with such wonderful folks, and make a bunch of money!

I just got $45 back for a used book!

Despite the ice storm, my car was not covered in ice today!

Van Halen tickets go onsale this weekend!

I'm going to be an uncle in 6 months!

My school wasn't shot up today!

I get to go home for the holidays for a month!

I just knocked off a bunch off people on my list by shopping online!

I get to celeberate Christmas with my whole family in less than 2 weeks!

I just got a Christmas card from Crawford, Texas!

    Yeah, life's good.

    It's all good!

    - My son had his 4 year dr. appt yesterday, and despite the trauma of getting 4 shots, he's healthy and right on track developmentally. and was over the shots by the time we got home.

    - I'm 98% done with christmas shopping and 95% done with christmas cards

    - Last week, I found out that a state grant I'd applied for $500,000 for open space acquisition was approved!!!

    - Last night, after an 11 hour day at work, I got everything done on my to do list and still was able to plant myself on the couch to watch part 2 of Sci Fi's The Tin Man. And it was All Good.

Celebrated 25th wedding anniversary this year.

Three commission checks coming a week before Christmas.

    Four day weekend for Christmas.

Four day weekend for New Years.

    Cowboys are still winning.

Too soon for Michigan to lose again.

Just rain, no ice so far.

    As the "lolcats" might say,
    I haz a hous. N a ladr.

Every morning I wake up and think, I own this place. No evil landlord to argue about repairing the furnace. And the mortgage is such that I could afford it on unemployment and collecting ten-centers.

The job shows no signs of vanishing.

Found some new friends at church, in the Salvation Army band, at an Urban Planet meet-up.

The four-wheeler turned 200K, still running.

Already have a gig for Mardi Gras, and I have plans for NYEve (a tour!).

A highly contentious enforcement case I'd been working on for over 18 months finally ended today. It's all good.

I'm going to watch the new Robin Hood DVD tonight. It's all good.

I'll make some popcorn too with tons of butter and salt. It's all good.

Canada is both north and east of me. It's all good.

Xanax script was renewed. It's all good.

Free tailgate passes and Tigers' tickets on Saturday.

Brother-in-law will be returning from Afghanistan in a few weeks.

I got a haircut last night.

Planning Commission meeting shouldn't be too long tonight.

    It's all good.

I have a roof over my head, food on the table, great family and friends, and everyone's pretty healthy for once.

So I'm pretty thankful for that, even if I don't have a job and am in dire straits, financially.

It's days like today that I'm glad to be alive...

Celebrated the Reformation at church this morning with my parents

Met Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts and got my picture taken with him right before NBC5 News converged on us to interview Senator Brown

Enjoyed the fall season walking in the Sycamore Pumpkin Parade, surrounded by good friends and crowds of people lining the streets 10-deep, with a mostly positive reception towards the Republicans

Was part of a mob of 70 people walking for my friend who's running for county-wide office

Had lunch at my favorite restaurant, Portillo's, with Illinois' next Lieutenant Governor Jason Plummer

Had a bloomin' onion before dinner at Outback, which was on a friend

Played with my dog in the yard at 11 at night

    Victory is 2 days away!

Am flying to an out-of-state job interview later this week!

    It's all good...

I have been working for the past 2 days, more or less nonstop, on a new website. It is only the 2nd website I have ever designed and I must say, it is starting to look pretty good! Tons of work yet to do, but I'm feeling pretty good about it.
