    Beaver Trapping Contests??
Who can keep their city the cleanest the longest? Winnepeg is in the lead with Edmonton close behind
Just kidding with you, in reality, the winner of that contest will most likely become a big star, not like the loosers we see...

are the contestants in anyway similar to Alanis Morisette, Bryan Adams, or any other artist/performer that Canada should apologize for thrusting upon America?

Ditto. Not that I have much time anymore. I was happy that I got to spend 30 minutes watching the season finale from that 70s show last night. I missed it the first time several months ago.

Right now it is about the only thing I bother to turn the TV on for - BUT - one of the contestants is a distant cousin and he really is a pretty good singer. He has a classical background and plays several instruments including violin so he has a different (more polished) sound than some of the others.

In a week though, I reserve the right to veg in front of the TV as much as I want. My last day of work is August 13, assuming no one makes an early arrival, and I intend to watch as much of the olympics as possible.

More imports with strange voices like Niel Young, Geddy Lee, and that guy from the Crash Test Dummies being molded and bred, eh?
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone
