My challenge to the geeks here in Cyburbia. What city is this?

    Not Syracuse.

A clue. It's a city known for its high crime rate.

Not Detroit. Not in the Northeast.

    Not New Orleans, either.

    nashville.

I'm thinking it IS Nashville. The condo tower at the very far right of the photo reminds me of a building I saw last year. Nashville is also the only really "big" southern State capital that I can think of.
The downtown is about as ugly as Nashville's, too.

    Nashville.

Didn't mean to rag on Nashville. Its just one of those cities that should somehow be better. I was disappointed last year how little improved in a real way the downtown area was-even after the Clinton era pseudo-boom.

I like Knoxville, better (lived there two years). More interesting character.

Still, to the topic at hand, it looks like the photo is taken from the interstate (I-40) that runs through the center of town. If it would have caught that mondo-bizarro SBC building, I would have been sure.

Dan, the suspense is killing us (and interfering with my work)

    Montogmery

Could it be MONTGOMERY? Didn't think Montgomery was this big. Pretty gritty, though.
