In a new discovered reality where it doesn't snow

Spur of the moment paint project in Michaelskis Apartment.

Yesterday I am at my apartment, sitting on my new furniture and it dawns on me how much I do not like the color of my walls, and walk into my Bathroom. Wow... I don’t how sickening bright it is in their as well. So a friend of mine and I go to the paint store... and picked up a few gallons. Needless to say, I was up till 2am painting. *after work I have to go and get one more gallon to do the touch up stuff in the living room.

With my parents coming this weekend this is what they will find:

My new sofa and love seat

The color of my apt. (Sage Green)

    My bathroom

With an all white canvas shower curtain and stainless steel accessories. *oh and the tub has white tile with black trim, and I have a black floor mat.

*I will try to get pic's up sometime tomorrow.

What are your thoughts, and have you ever done any spur of the moment paint projects?

Wow, that new furniture really changes the look of your living room.
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

The ends can justify the means.

Holy smokes, I thought that *was* your apartment and thought you must get paid pretty darn good!

The colors didn't show up, so I can't see them.

As for spur of the moment, sure I used to. But, I am a perfectionist so it usually takes me a while - no just slapping up paint for me. Now with a baby, nothing is really spur of the moment!

    City of Low Low Wages!
It looks like a girl's apartment.

And I mean that in a good way.

    EDIT: Oh. I get it.

    Nice couch.

    Looks nice! I'd say ...

Funny how green was, for a long time, associated with the tacky 1970s. Now, it's trendy again.

Nice new furniture and I like the colors. Stainless steel is a great choice, but I'm fond of copper as I like the warmth of it and the patina it gets with age. With neutral furniture it's pretty easy to change the look of the room with paint...and less expensive.
I tried a color change once; going for a nice red with a softer yellow-green...well the red I picked was too red and the yellow-green was too yellow. Walking into the room you felt like approaching the kitchen counter and asking for a Quarter Pounder w/Cheese.

    Nice work on your place.

What is this "spur of the moment" you speak of? - only in my dreams.

I just bought an old house last november and have been concetrating on updating all of the utilities before any of the decorating type activities begin.

    Done so far:
Upgraded hydro service from 100 AMP to 200AMP service
Added subpanel in garage and wired it for part time use as woodworking shop
    Insulated garage
Relocated basement dryer and bathroom exhausts (now vent outdoors)
Built stud walls in basement and insulated
    Replaced furnace and water heater
Relocated central a/c to sie of house
Relocated above ground phone/cable tv lines to side of house

My one concession to interior redecorating has been to strip the wallpaper in the livingroom in preparation for paint this fall.

    Left to do:
Decorating the main floor, remodelling all the bathrooms and kitchen, rear yard privacy fence and backyard deck.

Other than that, she's perfect my son!
