    MSP conference in Grand Rapids

I was wondering who will be attending the Michigan Society of Planning (MI APA chapter) conference in Grand Rapids, and would like to get together for a drink or something.

It is on September 30- Oct 2nd.

I was debating, but probably will not go this year. Besides, we are going to Notre Dame/Purdue game on the 2nd so I have to save up my energy

If I do go it will likely be just for the day and I will not be spending the night cause I'll need to get back to my new "WIFE" and

Anyone else going? I am arriving Thursday afternoon, staying at the Amway Grand Plaza, and attending sessions on Friday. Then, after the last session on Friday, I go home. I might be able to meet for drinks, but I think I have to take a client out for dinner. This will be my first time schmoozing with a client outside of the normal business relationship, so maybe I will need a couple of drinks prior to dinner?!

Nope, definately not going this year. I was looking into going for just one day, but it is $175, and I thought that was a lot for three sessions.

I'll be there for some of it. My firm will have a booth and we are having a fancy-schmancy invitation-only reception at our office on Thursday night. Look for me, I'll buy a round.

From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
    Is also great
    And would suffice.

People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor
