Did I miss the discussion on "Monster Houses"?
"Planning" May 2002.
One point that I didn't see addressed in the pro and con article was that even though the smaller cluster houses looked real good, there was no mention of the increased infrastructure demand on existing downtown sewer lines from bringing in eight new families on to a former single family lot. Won't this be a problem to cities already in financial difficulty? Can they afford new down-town infrastructure?
Also, it appears that instead of an "up-scale" large home, they were creating large "down-scale" garages to serve the cluster homes, but up against their neighbors' property lines.
Also the backs of the "down-scale"small houses appreared to be right at the back property lines, too.
There are other questions, too. Did I miss the discussion?
