I had a black lab we got from a shelter. Scooter and I were real buds. At 2 years old though, he was still very much a puppy. 75 pounds of puppy. Still, I'd get another.

Great! Labs are cool. My sister has a black lab that is absolutely insane with energy. She carries branches (not sticks, branches) up steep hillsides and then growls at them when they snag on something.
