    Out of the Loop

Well, I don't think I have gone this long (almost 6 weeks) without reading the threads and definitely not without some severe withdrawal symptoms!! Truth is I have been too tired for withdrawal, our new addition arrived on August 25th - Isabelle weighing in at 9lbs 11ozs and 21 1/4 inches. We are all adjusting well to the new ruler of the household - mainly because, so far (knock on wood), she has been really kind to us parental newbies!

So, can anyone give me the quick and dirty on everyone here in Cyburbia-land through the hurricanes, work trials and tribulations etc. Is Donk still in ON? How are the house repairs and wedding plans going in Edmonton? What else is new?

Way to go. IMO parental sleep deprivation is the hardest part of parenting, although I don't have any teenagers driving yet. Take care of yourself and sleep as much as possible.

    Congrats! She is a cutie.
You started your own loop for the next 18-21 years.

    Congrats and welcome back!

Also a bit of an update on Planner Groupie....had another ultrasound last week....Wes is estimated to be at 6 pounds 12 oz......he's over the 90th percentile.....and we're likely to be induced a bit early....probably by the end of the month....

I knew your date was quickly approaching - if I hadn't gone into labour when I did I likely would have been induced the next day although Isabelle was 8 days late. Our doctor kept saying she was going to be a big baby and "there is more than one way of getting that baby out of you" - we went for the alternate - C-section after 15 hours of labour and I wouldn't change a thing!

Congrats on the new addition! 9lbs. 11oz! She's a big one, and cute to boot... looks like she'll be a little heartbreaker one day.

Welcome back and congrats on the new little one. She sure looks healthy.

One thing you missed while you were away is that I got married. I was wondering where my gift was 8-1, but now I understand why it hasn't made it into the mail . I understand.

    Welcome back and congrats again.

Well, before I launch into an update... let me say CONGRATULATIONS! What a beautiful little girl!!!

As for BME and I, we are slowly chipping away at the reconstruction of the basement. I think that we are just to the point now that we can start looking for someone to do the taping and finishing. The wedding? Well, let's just say that I'm not planning for it at this point... we are hoping to still have it in March, but I won't make a decision on whether we can make that date until Christmas. I figure that Christmas is 3 months before, so that's really the minimum amount of time we'll need to pull it off in March. We are hoping to have the basement finished by Christmas, but I guess we'll see. The important part is that we are trying to work on everything together and that we are still happy and growing stronger together every day. I know, it's glurgy and sappy... but it's true. So things are still chaotic, but all in all we're just fine.

    Thanks for thinking of me!

OMG - She's gorgeous! Jack was late and on the big side (certainly not as big as yours though) and I think older fatter babies are much more attractive newborns because they're filled out a bit. Congratulations!

    Congrats on the new addition.

Hope the best for you and Isabelle.

Yup., I'm still in Onterrible, started job hunting for a better place to be.

Should have looked at those "east coast utopia" jobs you told me about.

Congrats on the cutie. I don't think I have any "news". Consider yourself "updated".

Congrats - she is beautiful!! Long bugger too! Make sure to cherish each and every day - she will be moving out to college before you know it. I remember when Josie was just born and you kind of think to yourself, I can't wait until she smiles, or I can't wait until she rolls over. Now she is almost 9 months old. It goes by sooo fast.
