    In praise of...Bear Up North

I like the effort Bear Up North makes in his individualized signature lines. They are always a little bit campy, yet they are a small delight, much like the pepermint candy that comes with a Sonic hamburger.

    Well done Bear Up North.

I tend to agree with that. Three cheers for The Bear.
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

Yeah, I always look foward to those nifty little signatures when I see one of his posts!

In honor of Bear Up North:

    "SR giving props"

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

I often try to guess what Bear Up North will use for his closings, but I'm always pleasantly surprised. Three cheers for Bear!
Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.

What he said....I tried a couple times without any success.

Thanks for starting this thread. I have long been a fan of the Bear, but have not said so.
