    Where's George (currency tracker)

I got a $10 bill in Green Bay with a note to go to www.wheresgeorge.com. If you have a bill you enter information about the bill and where you got it and then it shows you where the bill has been reported. One of the bills has been reported 15 times in the past two years and has been all over the place. Very fascinating. My bill was first reported in Appleton, Wisconsin the day before I acquired it. Statistics are kept for the bill (miles traveled, average traveling speed, etc...).

I stamp my $1.00 bills from time to time (yes, I actually paid for an ink stamp!).

Its fun to watch a bill's progress, especially if you know you're going someplace like Vegas - those bills get around!.

You can sign up for automatic email notifications every time one of your bills is reentered.

About every six months I get an email reporting money I entered has been found by someone else. I actually found I get more hits on $20s than on $1s. Probably because $20s stay in circulation longer.

Awww... I never get any interesting money. The best I get is someone's shopping list or the occassional "gay $".

    Off-topic:
My husband once came home with porno money showing sexually explicit acts where the presidents portrait was supposed to be and elsewhere. I don't remember anymore how he ended up with it. He also had a 3 dollar bill in his wallet for a long time.

I enter bills on Where's George but I do not stamp.

Gee, I wonder what happens with all of the dollar bills that come here. I bet that site doesn't register all the times the bills go out of the US...

They accept Canadian Post-Codes and USA military APOs/FPOs, as well as have ways of entering other non-USA places.
