    The General is Quite Concerned

    www.patriotboy.blogspot.com

The General is Quite Concerned that the Annointed One may commit a boo-boo tonight:

    Debate prep

We have to be on our toes for tonight's debate. It's very probable that Our Furious Leader will go into a violent fit of rage, pull a piece from his waistband, and shoot Bob Schieffer. We can't prevent it from happening--killing is how Our Leader deals with frustration. We can, however, try to put a positive spin on it. I've created the following talking points to help you do just that.

Our Leader suspected that Schieffer had a weapon of mass destruction in his pocket.
Zell would have called Our Leader a pussy if he hadn't defended the family honor.
Sure, Our Leader killed a respected journalist on national TV, but Kerry forgot Poland. The liberal media is showing its bias by not reporting that too.
Did you see that perfect military style shooting stance?
Hey, didn't the terrorist threat level just go to red?
Yes, it's true that no one found WsMD in his pockets, but he had weapons of mass destruction program related activities stuffed in his sock.
You may have noticed that the handgun he used was a .50 cal. Desert Eagle Mark XIX. It's the most powerful handgun in the world. You can tell a lot about a man by the caliber of his gun.
Schieffer is a French name, isn't it?.
Our Leader isn't afraid to exercise his God-given Second Amendment rights on the campaign trail.
Klinton did it with the pipe wrench in the billiard room.
Two words, "Kennebunkport Candidate." Arrest Barbara. She made him do it.
He's going to lower your taxes!
OK, so Schieffer didn't actually have weapons of mass destruction program related activities stuffed in his sock. He was thinking about getting them.

Debate #3 is in my fair City. I live about 3 miles from the site.
    My observations:
    1. Traffic is irrelevant. The debate is on ASU's campus also in downtown Tempe both of which don't have a road network capable of large volumes of traffic. They have closed roads of course and congestion is ridiculous.
    2. It is quite the festival. The number of generators and the size of the tents is impressive. I think they have doubled the square footoage of Gammage with the tents.
    3. Barbed wire stock went up. They established a perimeter with tall barbed wire fences weeks before the debate. It is up to prison level at this point.

I need to submit a building revision at the City, but I'll wait until tomorrow.

Alright, people. Here's the marching orders:

Print out S_M's amended rules of engagement, and get ready to rock.

I'm not drinking, but I'll be keeping score for the rest of you.

My 5 yr old son wants to see a smilie face, so this one is for him: 8-|

And props to Dan for setting the stage for fun!

Good Lord, they're both talking about the search for Osama Bin Ladin now. C'mon, the debate is about DOMESTIC POLICY.

Christ, I'm moving to New Zealand. Make room for me, JNL.

I'm glad we didn't have "I have a plan!" on the list, or otherwise we'd be dead by now.

EDIT: They're both wearing red power ties.

EDIT: Reference to Dick Cheney's daughter. Not on the list, but I'm drinking to that!

EDIT: Any Canadians looking at this thread? What kind of your drugs is he on now?

EDIT: Why isn't the debate on any of the Spanish languuage stations? Surely their network officials don't believe Hispanics are more interested in watching Mexican soaps than the president and Senator Kerry debating their points of view regardinf the future of the country where they live? Sure, they're debating in English, but there's this neat-o thing called "translators" which could help with the language barrer.

Speaking of Canada, now we're looking north for flu vaccine? Hey W, the prescritpion drugs coming in from Canada were not yet "safe" as of the last debate, but we'll accept flu vaccine even though the Brits couldn't make it safe?

Hmmm... how about Bush's comment on national media - never mind.

Pundits are saying that this is Bush's best debate? I think he did better in round 2. He looked stupid and gave poor responses to most of the questions today.

Do you think Kerry can come up with anything new to say? Tora Bora has come up in each debate. Get a new script.

I'm seriously wondering why those vaccines are not being made here in the USA. The best explanation that I have heard was a commentary a few days ago involving liability insurance costs.

A bumper sticker that I saw while in Metro Milwaukee a few years ago:

My frustration was overwhelming when the ‘neutral’ commentator said, “Time’s Up Mr. President” just as the red light came on. Kerry blows past the red light and keeps going like a freaking wind up toy.

Neutral Commentator my rear... Why don’t they just have Edwards ask the questions?

Furthermore, Kerry talks about this health plan that is, but is not run by the government? Does anyone know anything about it? What will he do, how will it help me, how will it change the health care plans that are out their now?

By referring to something else that should have garnered a drink in the debate: "Just visit my Web site at http://www.johnkerry.com."

For details, see http://www.johnkerry.com/issues/health_care , especially the subpage http://www.johnkerry.com/issues/heal...alth_care.html for the wonkish specifics.

You know, I don't care any more.

My local newspaper, the Brain-Dead Vacaville Reporter, has informed me in maximum front page bold type that:

"Both men believe in Faith and Family."

So, why should I worry about anything?
