    World town planning day

Anyone doing anything today for the big event?

The City of Edmonton and AACIP are hosting a big public media event to educate the masses on the good thing that is planning. I'm taking a few projects from my town (and dragging along a co-worker to make the time pass more quickly). Info about the event.

I'm in Texas... no world planning day for me

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

There's nothing about it on the APA Web site. The event, along with other such global "holidays" such as International Women's Day and May Day, tends to be ignored in the US. However, we here on Cyburbia like to think we're a bit more enlightened and less insular.
