    Curious..

If Republicans are so evil and only "uneducated, bible-thumping rednecks" would ever vote for them, how did this happen:

    New York: Republican governor
    California: Republican governor
    Vermont: Republican governor
    Rhode Island: Republican governor
Massachusetts: Last 2 governors have been Republican
    New Hampshire: Republican governor
    Connecticut: Republican governor
    Minnesota: Republican governor
    Hawaii: Republican governor

A couple thoughts from Michael Totten at Instapundit:

People who vote for the other guy arenít stupid, brainwashed, or evil. They are your friends and family. Someone you love will almost certainly cancel your vote. (My wife cancels out mine.)

If, by some chance, everyone you know votes for the loser it wonít mean the election was stolen. It will only show that you live in a bubble.

It's not an argument, just an observation.

You forgot to add Indiana to your list -- "ending 16 years of Democratic control"
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

A lot of NE state general assemblies are completely dominated by the Dems. Republicans are often the outsiders who can come in and clean up messes when taxes and corruption get out of control. They don't run on cultural-conservative issues as much as national candidates.

The northeast isn't as liberal as people think. Not everyone is an ivy league professor. The Catholic vote replaces the Southern Baptist vote.
