    End of Suburbia film

I just saw this film last night. Who here has seen this film and what did you think?

The movie to me was quite shocking but not too surprising if that makes sense. The film is based around the US dependency on fossil fuels and the possible effects on suburban life as the world nears the point of complete oil depletion. The film paints paints a very dark and dismal future for everyone (especially here in the US). It can get a little radical at times but remains a very eye opening film. I believe it's a film that many people NEED to to see.

Anyway, I would love to hear some comments on this.

What with light rail and segways, people still think suburbia is going to end

Suburbia, ending? nah... after the oil companies squeeze the last buck of the oil reserves, they'll convert to alternative fuel cars and all; sure it'll be messy for a while, but the segregationists rarely give up.

I'd like to see it but so far I'd have to drive 4 hours for a screening.

Don't worry Bush will have us driving hydrogen cars in no time.

It won't work for cars, but we can still go back to coal! Oh wait the industry is already trying to convince me that clean coal is possible.
