Here's the deal, music lovers.....
You get to choose up to five (5) groups, bands, or singers. They can be musicians that have gone to the big concert in the sky (dead). They can be performers from your past (stuck in a time warp because Elton John in 2004 is not the same Elton John you saw in 1975). They can be present-day artists.
You have won a fantasy lotto and these five (5) that you pick are coming over to your place to play in your backyard.
Who are the five (5) and when they all get together on stage for that butt-kickin' last song, what song is it?
The Bear's choices:
Yes (Present day group)
Chicago (Up to their third album, about 1973)
Marshall Tucker Band (1980's version)
Beatles (Abbey Road time)
Wilco (Now)
Kick-butt final tune: 24 Hours At A Time
Imagine Wilco starting this song, with Tucker, in a straight-forward country manner and, as Wilco does, sliding into great alt-country rocking. Imagine Chicago's early 70s's horns kicking in during the middle of this Marshall Tucker classic. Imagine Yes and the Beatles harmonizing all through the tune. Imagine guitar solos from McCartney and Harrison. Picture the whole damn bunch in my back yard. Too cool.
