I want to lodge a peremptory protest just on the off hand chance that Mastiff gets pissed and suspends me for challenging an a**hole re land use and zoning postings. I live here; I'm right, the other guy is wrong.

C'mon and get me you twist of fate
I'm standing right here Mr. Destiny
If you want to talk well then I'll relate
If you don't so what cause you don't scare me
I would not like to see ZG banned on my account. She is stating up-front what some others are thinking. Of couse we disagree but it is useful to know the depth of the resentment for developers. I do find it ironic that people who make their living regulating development do not realize economic benefits to the community at large and to themselves in particular. Florida is overly reliant on development but there is no quick fix and the friction will continue.
I do not 'resent developers'. The economic benefit can be short lived; gone once the houses are built. However, the impacts can cost the community for decades to come. The profit taken on these land use changes is obscene....I am not talking about the profit on actually building a house. Land flipping has been out of hand for a while. The economic benefit you point to may be your own.
