What Do You Want Under Your Christmas Tree?

Every year the same ole' question pops up in households all over the parts of the world that celebrate Christmas: "What do you want for Christmas, Honey?"

It has probably been asked in other threads in other years, so I ask again. "What do Cyburbian's want under their Christmas tree?"

Since I generally rule, I'll go first:

    World Peace (yeah, right)
    Cameron Diaz (yeah, right)

    OK....for real.....

Books, music, a radio with good AM reception. That's all.

Hey... I just started reading her series based in Trenton, on BKM's recommendation a bjillion years ago in some long-dead thread. Not a bad read (and fast!) But I'm only on the second book.

    Back on topic:
Not much I want this Christmas, except maybe Elf on dvd and I've been dying to listen to some Oingo Boingo lately, so maybe one of their early albums or a decent greatest hits compilation. I have L.A. radio station withdrawls or something.

Hmm, good question.. I would love a nice pair of earrings, a membership to the nearby yoga/pilates studio, but most of all I'd love one of those small flat cd player chelf systems for my new office.
When Jesus said "love your enemies", he probably didn't mean kill them.

    Presents for all my family.

I don't really need anything. I asked for new slippers.
It is all a matter of perspective!!!

A bullet between my eyes .

Actually, I'm with Queen B on this one (except for the slipper part ), I don't want anything, except maybe a new job and a bottle of vodka.
A guy once told me, "Do not have any attachments, do not have anything in your life you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you spot the heat around the corner."

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Try going to a high end bike store and getting a campagnolo one, they are supposed to be one of the best available. Only $199 USD.

Me, don't really want much, sold the house, so a new job is all I'd really like.

    Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

I've already bought my Christmas present and when my parents asked I couldn't honestly think of a thing that I really need or want. So who knows what'll be under the tree this year.

In keeping with that theme, I really could use a couple good stoppers to seal the bottles of wine I do not finish right away.

I could use some furniture for the living room and for the third bedroom. They are pretty much empty right now.

Paulina Porizkova, c.1985 would be just fine, Santa.

Since that's highly unlikely, I'd like two things: Northern Exposure DVD and 18v Cordless Ryobi Drill/Driver.

I'll probably get a new necktie and fruitcake.

I'd like someone to say "Mr. Seabishop, you charming bastard, when can you start? You'd fit right in on our office softball team."

Other than that just money to pay off all the bills from buying other people's gifts.

Alessandra Ambrosio would be nice, but I know the wife would not let her in the house let alone, under the tree. So I'd have to go with some new golf clubs.

Even though I am growing a holiday beard, an electric razor would be nice (even though I think my GF got me one last night!

Wine stoppers and wine glasses would be good.

    Crown Royal Special Reserve....

    Seinfeld DVD collection...

    1) A second small dog so my Italian Greyhound can have a friend (not a chance, but a nice wish)
    2) Large gift certificate to either: Crabtree & Evelyn or Coldwater Creek (still unlikely)
    3) Items off my Amazon wish list (most likely)
    4) Items off my wedding registry (also likely)

Having just gotten married this summer, I really don't need much. Completing the place settings and getting that last set of wine glasses is really all I'm expecting. Hubby wants "whatever", so that's exactly what he's getting.
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

Thank you so much for posting this link! I saw National Treasure and she looked very familiar to me. I couldn't place her until I saw that she was Helen from "Troy". That was a good movie too.

As for holiday gifts, I'm asking for a couple models of medieval fortresses to play wargames on.

Santa, please bring me each of the following....

..I've been real good this year.

+no more unexpected and outrageous medical bills and have my present ones paid in full.
+no more unexpected hefty increases in my real estate taxes.
+the old laptop that I'm ready to buy from a co-worker for a reasonable price. For tech geeks: (old IBM thinkpad 600, PII-300Mghz, 128mb ram, 6GB HD) for $200, it needs a new battery (like all thinkpads) so I might be able to get it for $200 minus the cost of a new battery. wo0t! 8-|
+that mrs. B's pregnancy goes better than it has for the last 7 months (no more contractions until real labor and no more bulging discs.) btw, we just got a 30 week sonogram and new, unborn Boiker already has hair.
    +urban planning books
+gourmet coffe (like Peet's! anyone else have recommendations?)
Dude, I'm cheesing so hard right now.
