Some call me "green", I say "still getting acclimated"

I'm new to the world of planning/development/urban rehabilitation, and I'm sure you'll see me posting questions/comments with varying levels of stupidity.
I recently graduated from Binghamton University with a BA in Environmental Planning, and I'm now working as a Planning/ Research Specialist in Western NY- most of my work involves GIS, CDBG Adminisitration, "looking into things", and memorizing acronyms.

I'm looking forward to learning a bunch about this profession and any questions I might have...

Welcome from the Northshore of the Ohio River.

You can learn alot from this bunch.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Welcome, we were all green once. Don't be afraid to ask questions, we will all feel free to give you answers, even if we do not know what we are talking about !
Planning is much like acting, as my old theater professor used to say, "If you sin, sin boldly, only you know if you are ad libbing." I follow this adage almost daily.

Welcome! Some of the most stupid planners are the old guys who have been around forever and never learned a thing after their first six months on the job. Question, comment, dream, and do, and never worry about anyone thinking you are green. The time to worry is when you think you are the expert - that only means you've stopped trying.

New people do not have a monopoly on stupid questions and comments.
