Tom - thanks for the link. It's good to see new works out on Zappa; I think he's among the 20th Century's greatest composers. And one of our best social satirists, too.![]()
Zappa's work, especially his work with The Mothers of Invention, remains a favorite with this Bear. Whenever I'm in a bad (or "down") mood, I pop in a Zappa CD or fire up the turntable.
The guy was outrageous. His stuff was hilarious. His attacks on the establishment (and the non-establishment) were priceless. His hands and fingers could make a rock and roll guitar "sing".
I especially loved his LIVE AT FILMORE album and the album with Billy The Mountain. Studebaker Hawk, yeah, yeah.....
