    Poll - Draft Order 2005

The draft order is determined by the finish of the teams, but would you prefer a snaking draft (1-16, 16-1, 1-16, etc.) or normal (1-16, 1-16, 1-16). The first is more equitable to all teams, and the latter helps the lower tier teams get better. Especially in a keeper league.

    How say you?

I voted normal, but being the middle of the pack, either one works out the same for me.

Normal. It just seems like the right thing to do.

I'm voting normal, mostly because I had such a poor season that any tool that can help me improve is welcome.

I say normal -- maybe this way we can get a better estimate of when we pick so that it won't take six weeks to finish the draft.

I voted snaking, but in hindsight, normal is probably the way to go.

I have the other snaking vote, but I could really give a hoot one way or the other.

I like the snaking option (seems more equitable to me), but don't really have a strong opinion.

It seems like both options will take forever, so it really doesn't matter. I voted normal just because every year the draft has been slightly different than the year before. We may as well keep up the trend.

Will there be a Rookie Draft next year? If so, will it be “Snaked” from the normal draft?

If everyone liked it, I would think "yes" to both questions. If we ever go to more keepers, I play in one league with 6 keepers, you wouldn't want to keep it, as the top rookies are a big part of the first round. With 3 keepers, there will still be at least 16 big names on the board.

Not quite sure how to do that.

Good, I was thinking it would somewhat balance out the draft power if the Rookie draft were reversed from the regular draft.

I'm agreeable to a normal draft for next season...different drafting options per season keeps the league interesting and fresh.
