Now is it Newbie or n00b?

Just discovered the Cyburbia site again after 7-8 years and thought I would register and add this site to the things I look at when I am procrastinating, uh... I mean researching a topic of vital importance

I am a Transportation Planner at a small MPO in New Hampshire and have been working in planning for about 8 years now.

    So hello to all.

Welcome from the Hill Country of south-central Texas!

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

Welcome from the Washington DC area!
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Ben Franklin

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"

NH Planner: That puts you in or around the always lovely Manchester?

Gedunker: Etna and Hanover are in a nice area. I pass through often on my way to Vermont but don't stop very much except a few times a year in Hanover at Dartmouth.

Unfortunately, yes. But on a good note, at least we have a new Director at our RPC....couldn't get any worse! (I hope)

[snicker] I heard that there was a new director, but don't know anything else about it. Good luck. I do know of a way that it could be worse, but will remain to protect the (not so) innocent.
