    Hello from Milwaukee

Hello from the land of beer and honey. I'm glad to join this forum and hope to learn from you all as we all move forward toward the same goal -- making our communities better places.

Most people take a look at their communities, see what needs to be fixed and say, "why don't they do something about this?" You all have decided to become the "they" that's doing something. For that this country owes you a debt of gratitude.

A lifetime supply of calming pharmaceuticals would suffice.

Welcome. I hail from West Allis originally. I moved to the Fox Cities recently. Nice to see another Mid-Western face.

Hello from the Hoosier State. We're watching the Ohio rise, now forecast to crest about 5' above flood stage. Where did I leave those rusty old floodgates anyway?

In any event, thanks for registering and enjoy, but beware the addiction.

    Welcome from downriver of Gedunker.
Here at my fair city the Ohio River is:
12.8 ft Pool Stage (normal level)
    40.6 ft Observed 1/8
    42.0 ft Flood Stage
    43.4 ft Crest on 1/15

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    Welcome to our cyber crack
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Ben Franklin

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"
