    The Tortoise and The Hippo

It has nothing to do with a race or morality tale. Just kind of a funny, feel-good story from the post-tsunami chaos -- everything except that last line, which is a bit disturbing.
Tsunami-surviving hippo in Kenya seeks solace in a century-old tortoise

I remember reading the lioness story. It was even on TV news. Very Sad. And boy, that tortoise has a surprise coming as that hippo matures!

I read in a different story that they are going to be giving the baby hippo to a lonely female hippo.

Will the tortoise at least have visitation rights?
Anyone want to adopt a dog?

Hey, remember the story about twins that were raised by a wolf? Oh.. right that's just the tale of Rome and Romulus (sp?)

A friend of a friend's girlfriend's father who's neighbor once knew a guy that went to Africa told me a story about an orphan kid that was raised by jungle animals...
(BTW I started with that very credible line of "first hand information" many journalist use. )

One would hope. It actually bothers me that they would stick the hippo with the tortoise and then move it. Ugh. (I think my ENFP is showing and most folks in this forum will go: )
