    Saint Paulite here

    Hey all,

I live in a suburb of the Twin Cities, Minnesota. I really enjoy learning about urban planning and am glad to have found this place. I regularily take pictures downtown as well!

I enjoy the computer program SimCity 4 and this fuels my interests.

    Welcome to....

The intumescent viscera of urban planning, nay, the innards of the great planning machine (previously called the Throbbing Brain ) Enjoy your visit

Have you thought about upgrading to The Sims.....there's nothing like starting a 5 alarm fire in the apartment complex you started......

Thanks for the welcome! I appreciate it.

I'll post some pictures later. I put a request in to Dan (whom I presume to be the administrator) to add a Minneapolis/Saint Paul section to the photo gallery so that I can have an organized place for the photos.

Welcome to Cyburbia, The Shadoe! Glad you decided to join; and don't worry you're not the only one here that likes SC4. It's good to know you like to take pictures, and our gallery will be available for you to use when you reach 25 posts, so that shouldn't be much of a problem. In the meantime you can look around the gallery, and read the rules that you must follow afterwards

If you have any problems or doubts with the gallery, just contact me and I'll help you

About your request (I can handle it, since I'm a Gallery Mod) : We generally wait until a certain number of pictures have been uploaded already(let's say 10) and a user's request to create a category, so we'll wait for you until you can upload pics.

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Welcome from Northern Colorado... not just a place but a state of mind...

Have a Coors or Bud. both are brewed nearby....
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

Welcome from the other end of I-35 in the Hill Country of Texas!

You'll find a lot of people on here that play games similar to SC4 and even a few Amish Sim City-ers.

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

I am somehow reminded of Casey Kasem on the radio saying "From the craggy shores of Maine to the sandy beaches of California, you can hear American Top 40 every week on great radio stations like..."

    or

"From Flagpole, Tennesse to Flagstaff, Arizona but not forgetting Flagler, Colorado you can hear the top 40 high flying hits in the land on AT40."

Welcome from the Washington DC metro area and a fellow sim city nut~!

Well, I've found it a lot of fun and it's all stuff that I've been interested in for a long time.

Speaking of that, I've done some Amish "Sim-Citying" myself before too. Usually when I am bored and have nothing else to do. Then I take those plans and SimCity them.

Welcome! And remember, the planning profession is just like Sim City.
