    Another just saying "hello" thread

    Hello,

I moved to NYC a few years ago, and studied urban planning at NYU. Since moving here, I've spent an inordinate amount of time walking around different areas of the five boroughs (and am still nowhere near to seeing the entire place!). Some friends of mine and I have started a website to try and help the average person understand what cities are about and how they are put together. Also to help NYC'ers learn more about their city. There's a lot of fascinating things here that guide books just don't cover.

    Nice to meet you guys.

Greetings from the Hoosier State from a native Jerseyan. I have walked many miles of streets in Manhattan and really enjoy the city -- but it's been a long time since 've been back and the prospects for another visit anytime soon aren't too good. Thanks for registering -- join the fray.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Welcome from rainy and snowy Northern California, where the radio news anchors, after hearing the weatherman intone solemnly about freeway closures, avalanche warnings, and ten feet of new snow in the mountains, blithely chirp "That's Great, Lloyd!!)

Welcome from the Washington DC Metro area.
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Ben Franklin

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"

Welcome, from approximately 269 miles north of you in the upper Hudson River valley.
