    Hello from NE Wisconsin

Greetings from cheesehead-land! I have been posting for a few weeks, but have never introduced myself. I have been working as a planner/zoning enforcement officer for a small city for four years, and before that as a GIS operator for 1 1/2 years. I intend to begin a master's program next spring and have narrowed my choices down to three programs....now I just hope one of them will accept my application!
Visiting this site has really helped break up my days - I wish I had found it sooner. Since none of my friends understand what I do, it is nice to come to a place where everybody understands!

Greetings. I grew up a cottage cheesehead, became a real one (Go Pack, donchya' know?), and left last summer. Are you in the Fox Valley? On the coast?
Anyone want to adopt a dog?

I wonder who first thought of putting foam cheese on their head? I have never done it, but many people do!
I am in the Fox Valley, on the north side of Lake Winnebago. Were you in the Fox Valley?

    Welcome from Chicagoland, eh.
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Let's not be didactic in this profession, because that is a path to disillusion and irrelevancy.

Welcome from Milwaukee. Be sure to visit the 29 Steps saloon when you're in Green Bay - it's operated by a fellow cyburbanite.

Welcome from SW Indiana, that's in the Central Time Zone.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Greetings and welcome from another Cyburbian from this wonderous area that so vividly displays oh so much of what is both right and wrong with Wisconsin.
