    Hello from Western Massachusetts

I just joined. I work as a regional land use planner in western mass. I am looking for resources on teaching young children about planning. Does anyone know of any really good ones?

I was just up in your neck of the woods this summer and loved it......
I like some of the stuff found in the national geogrpahy standards manual and NCGE (National Council for Geographic Education) teaching resources. Good Luck.

    Welcome from Chicagoland!!!
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Let's not be didactic in this profession, because that is a path to disillusion and irrelevancy.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Ben Franklin

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"

Welcome from even farther east, on Cape Cod. It appears that our Masachusetts contingent is growing!
Planning is much like acting, as my old theater professor used to say, "If you sin, sin boldly, only you know if you are ad libbing." I follow this adage almost daily.
