Man sent to prison for junk in yard

    From the AP Wire:

    Article highlight:
SANFORD, Fla. -- A man who defied officials for more than 13 years by refusing to remove airplane parts and other junk from his yard was sentenced to three years in prison.
Alan Wayne Davis, 49, had been placed on house arrest in September after serving nearly a year in prison for illegal dumping and creating and maintaining a public nuisance.

More of the story from the Orlando Sentinel:
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
    From Electric Horseman (1979)

I know at least one person that lives in that area....Who's giving the inside scoop? Come on, now. Of course, none of this nonsense would ever happen up here in the panhandle.

Alan Davis. What a looneytunes. I remember when he brought his butt statue in his pickup bed and drove it around downtown Sanford. One day I hopped in the elevator and he jumped in before the door closed and all I could think was, god, don't let him recognize me as being in zoning! Before it was cleaned up by the sheriff, his home was a minor tourist attraction among county residents. His wife is just as nuts as he is. They have a daughter, too; I can only wonder what her life is like.
