Request for info on Convention Center parking

I'm looking for parking generation info (ie. parking indices, number of parking spaces provided, etc.) for a large suburban convention center in the northeast US. The center will have some mass transit use (bus and rail - about 20% utilization) but the majority of the attendees will use private autos.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

That's kind of a tricky one... Most of the cases where I have been involved with convention centres, it often depended on what type of facilities were being provided. For example, how many exhibit halls are there, meeting rooms, hotel rooms, etc. Will there be an arena, restaurants, lounges, etc.? I would usually take the various uses, look at the overlap in patronage, see if operating hours are different (like big conventions would not be operating during peak arena times), etc. I don't think it's a simple process... If I can find any good examples I'll post again.

Raleigh has a parking standard... but I think the more labor intensive (and probably accurate) way of figuring it out is something more like what I already listed above...

I haven't seen any trip generation rates for convention centers. I would stick these in the same category as a sporting arena (i.e. NFL football). Whereas, it is not possible to mitigate the traffic generated when the use is at its peak.

Therefore, other measures are required like police, closing streets (all roads in or out), etc.

I'm not sure if the ITE Parking Generation Manual covers convention centres - and if you are expecting such a high public transit component, it probably wouldn't be much good if it did.

I'll try to see if I have anything on some of our suburban convention centres...
