Do you have President's Day off?

I'm still new to government and just had the fun discovery that our offices will be closed on Monday for Presidents Day! Is this a common day off for everyone?

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

No I do not, even though a president grew up in this town. WTF

    Nothing doin' here in CO
No days off until Memorial Day
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

How does it feel, being a "subject?"

We get it off, and we got Lincoln day off too. Two three day weekends in a row!

I just reminded my boss that we're closed Monday.
He looked at me with those *deer in the headlight* eyes.
"Hmmm. I think I've made appointments for us Monday."
    Enjoy.

    We. will. be. working.

historic note: we USED to have Prez Day as a holiday; they traded it for MLK.

We're the opposite. We get Presidents Day, but not MLK Day.

Nope. I don't think there any government offices in Wisconsin that close for President's Day, Colombus, MLK, etc. Thank the good German work ethic for that.

We get Monday off. One good thing about working in ND you get EVERY federal holiday off as a part of your benefits.

I'll be here . . . while my hubby has off.

We were off for MLK, then it's a long dry run til Memorial Day.
