Halleluiah - Its time to move on

It finally happened. After a very long period of interviews and rejections, I finally have a new job. Its for a great town that seems to be everything my current position isn't. I will have my work cut out for me, and I'm sure after the next few weeks I will turn into a more serious (and less bitter) poster.

Congrats, good luck, and best wishes...
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

    Congrats!!!!

Getting a new job is always fun.

    Good Luck.
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Let's not be didactic in this profession, because that is a path to disillusion and irrelevancy.

    What everybody else has said.
Do tell us more about this change:
    1. Do you have to move / longer commute ?
    2. This new job - step up or lateral move ?
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    Congrats on the new job

Do you have to pee for employment, because if you do, I have a deal on clean specimens, my cat says she's been off the catnip for a month now

Congrats! Spill the beans we want to know more.

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"

Congrats, you've been looking and having as many interviews as I have. Does this mean your old job will be advertising shortly?

Hope your switch to a new employer is more fruitful than mine was, good luck and have fun looking forward going to work each day.

Thanks for the well wishes. Sorry to be vague but I prefer the anonymity at this point. Its a lateral move, but I think a good one. I'm not moving, although its a longer commute so it could happen in the future. I do need to start looking for a new (used) commuter car. Its for a different state so I've got to learn a new set of ground rules.

As for the pee test - none required so far. If I took one they would find nothing but a lot of caffiene.

    Thanks again.

A different state huh? So I suppose that means that you've been offered Rumpy's soon-to-be old job. Man, that sure is going to be one hellacious commute.
