Which Day do we meet up at APA in San Fran?

We need to pick a day to get together. Sunday and Tuesday would probably be the least attractive days for me:

    Saturday night is open.
    Sunday is the Opening Reception
Monday, I have a Ball State Alumni Reception from 5:30 - 8, but am open after that.
Tuesday I have a Northern New England Reception from 6 - 9, but could be persuaded to stay up late.
Wednesday I'm on the way home.

Does anyone plan on being at the opening reception for the duration? Maybe we could say, 9:30 p.m. ot 10:00 p.m.Sunday? I am free at night Friday thru Monday night.

    No such luck.

Just a few professors and 30 current students are making the trip, plus whatever alums show up.

On his show once... He said the Ball State motto is, "Get as drunk as possible, as early in the day as possible..."

For the majority of the university, that was probably true.

Where is the option for "all of the above?"
Anyone want to adopt a dog?

I will be living vicariously through all of you due to workload and profitability considerations. Enjoy!

It seems likely that I will also be in the "all of the above" category. It seems unlikely at this late stage in the game that I will actually attend the conference <kicks carpet> but I have pulled off "minor miracles" of that sort in the past so my solution so far has been to not vote in the poll.

Not attending the event, but if there is an alefest planned, I would love to meet some of you all.

I voted Saturday because it is the earliest - can make any evening with notice though (need time to buy maps, plot a course, learn local customs etc).

I am booked for the reception (even splashed out on a ticket for Mrs Rem) so we could meet up early there and kick on. I am impressed by how many say we can start the alefest at 10.00 pm or so. My bedtime could take a hammering that week.

I think the 3/4ths of a day time difference will do plenty of hammering on your sleep cycle. You may not really adapt in the relatively brief time you are here. Wanna here my stories about that? Or would you prefer Blissful Ignorance.

Still waiting to hear from others on the "list."

Time's getting short....we need to make some decisions soon!

Alright, alright. I will remove myself from the "undecided" slot and vote.

Sorry for my delayed vote. I'm good for Saturday.

Not yet....I'll leave that decision to those more familiar with SF.

Mastiff? BKM? RJ? (anyone...anyone.... ) Someone who knows something about SF please speak up. Sad to say, I have been there only a few times. And the restaurants are all well-hidden and mysterious to me. I don't much go to bars and the like so I would be even more clueless about those types of establishments.

BTW, Skeleton voted for Saturday. Last I checked, he wasn't attending. Can we nullify that vote?

I could edit the poll, but I think Sat still wins out anyway.

Bars... and their distance from the Moscone Center...
