    Seriously, though ... what is it with Texas and huge signs?Yeah, you see 'em in some other states, but in Texas high-rise signs are the norm, not the exception. I don't think there's a Dairy Queen or a Whataburger out there with a sign under 60' tall.

    How timely this was...

    Last night at planning board, one of our members just returned from a trip to Texas. He was raving about how great their highway system is and their traffic planning. When I commented that it seems like there is just so much pavement, he countered that "well, one accident won't shut the highway down for 9 hours like it will here". I had nothing to reply with. sigh.

    How about being a transgender athlete ? She will be representing Canda at the upcoming World Championships.
